How Adiant Helps Those with Cognitive Disorders

5.3 million people have Alzheimer's disease in our country. 10.9 million (unpaid) caregivers are dealing with the behaviors inherent with this disease, such as changes in short-term memory, depression, inability to manage personal care and wandering. It is stated that about two-thirds of those with Alzheimer's disease will wander – either drive or walk away.

How frightening it is to lose a loved one! Imagine what your life would be like if you could rest assured that if your loved one left his or her home, he or she could be found immediately.

If you are one of those caregivers worried about the safety and well-being of someone with dementia, know that Adiant Solutions has four revolutionary GPS devices that are designed to prevent those occurrences and protect your loved one. Three are worn by the individual and one can be attached to a vehicle. This consumer-driven technology allows you and your family to enjoy a better tomorrow, while your family member has the freedom he or she deserves today.

Adiant Solutions offers four GPS devices that provide peace-of-mind to families dealing with wandering behaviors. Some are worn by the individual, and some are attached to the vehicle. See below for more information.

Testimonial: Helping Those We Love and Care For

"My Mom who is suffering from early stage Alzheimers and went missing one morning around 9:30 am.  One of our challenges is that she is extremely agile and in her state does NOT want to be found; she will get upset about something minor and then takes off and deliberately and evasively hides somewhere on our 125 acre property.  The combination of the bush, the elements, cold night temperatures, wild life, and lack of vital medications 14 hours later creates a serious situation for us when she does this, and it's happened more than once.  Our last episode:  150+ people search team, police canine tracking unit, police search & rescue teams on the ground, police search helicopter and tracking high powered spot lights are whirling all around us, and we are now all fearing the worst has happened to my Mom.  One of the officers told us that he had heard of a GPS Personal Locator tracking bracelet device; the other members of the tactical team were not aware of this but said that if it's true that would save the tens of thousands of dollars spent on the search & rescue deployment.  The canine tracking team finally located my Mom, the ambulance had to take her to the hospital for treatment, and I get onto the internet at 3:30 am to find this bracelet.  We now have it, and this provides us with peace of mind, safety and security for my Mom's well being, a huge relief for my Dad and our family as the primary caregivers, and retains an element of dignity for my Mom as we can now keep her in her own home longer than anticipated. "
